Meet AMAP's New Executive Director

Greetings,

My name is Ali Mostardo and I would like to formally introduce myself as AMAP’s new Executive Director. As I continue to learn about AMAP and its members, I wanted to share a little about myself and CM Services, AMAP’s association management company. CM Services is a 42-year-old association management company headquartered in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. CM Services provides the staff and all services to approximately 17 different national and international trade associations, like AMAP.

My journey with CM started over four years where I began working with the Asphalt Emulsion Manufacturers Association (AEMA), Asphalt Recycling & Reclaiming Association (ARRA), and the International Slurry Surfacing Association (ISSA) and continue to do so. During this time, I learned and continue to learn about the asphalt industry. Prior to joining CM, I worked in event management and as an account rep for a decorative street lighting company. As these were both customer facing roles, I learned the value of communication and enjoy learning and working with our members. Over the next few months, I would love to hear from you on how AMAP can serve its members better. As we continue to plan for the future, we want to keep AMAP’s members at the forefront. 

I would like to also take this time to introduce the additional Lea Martinez as she will serve as the Association Coordinator for AMAP. Lea has recently worked the Cryogenic Society of America (CSA) and is excited to take on this role and learn more about the industry.

As AMAP continues in this transition period and rebranding, there are some exciting things AMAP has been working on. First, AMAP has been working to completely redo our website. We are in the final stages of implementation and will be launching prior to Thanksgiving. Keep an eye out in your inbox for an email once the website it launched! AMAP has also started The Modified Memo: An AMAP Ebrief.  This ebrief will be sent quarterly to AMAP members that will include industry news, committee updates, and industry events. Additionally, we are gearing up to take a more active role within our committees.
