2024 AMAP Annual Conference & Workshop Recap
The 2024 AMAP Annual Conference & Workshop was held October 15-17 in Salt Lake City, with over 215 attendees and 18 sponsors in attendance. Presenters and moderators delivered quality presentations that were well-received by attendees.
This year’s Workshop on October 15 featured a new format, kicking off with a General Session for all attendees in the morning. In the afternoon, attendees split between a Paving Track or Roofing Track, with the option to attend sessions from either track.
AMAP President Tanya Nash kicked off the Conference on October 16, along with a warm welcome to Utah from UDOT Executive Director Carlos Braceras. Over the next two days, attendees learned from industry experts and researchers during 22 presentations that covered six session topics: Industry Highlights from NAPA, AI, ARMA, and APA; History of Modification and Testing; New Technologies and Innovations; DOT Case Studies and Concepts; Roofing Innovation and Sustainability; and Sustainability.
At the AMAP Annual Membership and Business Meeting on October 16, member companies voted to fill the following number of seats on the Board of Directors, due to existing members rolling off: Producer Member (1), Supplier Member (2), Associate Member (1). The election results were as follows:
- Producer Member: Mike Matheny, Kokosing (re-elected)
- Supplier Member: Mark Stewart, HEXPOL (re-elected)
- Supplier Member: Katrina Mangiaracina, Ingevity (newly elected)
- Associate Member: Jason Cox, D&H Equipment (re-elected)
These terms for these Directors will begin on January 1, 2025. Thank you to Kevin Kempton and Jon Pepyne, who will roll off at the end of 2024, for their service on the Board of Directors!
